Smartphone and mobile internet bring a
lot of conveniences to our daily lives. Yet there are also more risks in
network safety issues. Below are some cyber security reminders for individual users:
1.
Password Protection
- Never share
your password to anyone
- Use more
complicated passwords which include numbers and both upper- and lower-case
letters
- Change password
regularly, for instance once every 3 months
- Do not use
the same password for all accounts
- Make sure there
is no visual of other person when you enter your password

Antivirus Protection
- Keep the
antivirus software of your devices up to date
- Enable firewall
to reduce hacking risk
- Do not
install or open unknown apps or files
- Scan your
computer and smartphones with antivirus software regularly

Device and Data Protection
- Avoid
using public WIFI
- Do not connect
your device to unknown WIFI hotspots
- Always download
apps and software from official channels
- Enable PIN
on your personal devices
- Do not
root or hack your devices with unofficial firmware
- Keep the version
or your apps and security patches up to date
- Factory
reset and wipe out all data in your device before disposal

Spam Emails
- Do not
open suspicious emails, click on phishing links or unknown attachments
- Pay
attention to the email name and address to the sender
- Alert
urgent emails (such as password expired or credit card payment failure, etc.)
- Contact
the sender (e.g. by phone call) if you have uncertainties with the email
5.
Abnormal Activities
- Check your
account balance and statements regularly. If there is abnormal transactions, please
contact us immediately.
- Always let
us know your most updated contact information, such as mobile number, email
address, etc.
