US Dec Core PCE Price Index Stays Flat
The U.S. Department of Commerce reported the personal consumption expenditures (PCE) price index dropped 0.1% over the previous month in December 2015, compared to the estimates of staying flat; on a yearly basis, the growth of the index accelerated to 0.6%, meeting market expectation.
Meanwhile, core PCE price index stayed flat on a monthly basis, while the market had expected the reading to grow 0.1%.
